David Schwebel joins Forte as senior director of business development and management

Experienced executive brings consulting and design expertise in material handling and supply chain industry.


FORTE, a Swisslog company, a leading warehouse automation and warehouse execution software (WES) firm, has announced the addition of David Schwebel to lead its business development team.

In his new role, Schwebel draws on his experience and expertise in material handling equipment and consumer packaged goods to help prospective FORTE clients solve their supply chain, warehousing and distribution challenges with advanced material handling automation solutions.

Prior to joining FORTE, Schwebel worked as managing executive with MHI, the trade association for the material handling and supply chain industry. He previously held a number of leadership, strategy, engineering, and business design roles at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated.

While a principal consultant for EDGE Network, Schwebel executed business process redesign and improvement projects for automated warehouses, packaging suppliers and supply chain information technology integrators.

Schwebel is an industrial engineering graduate from North Carolina State University, with a masters in integrated manufacturing systems engineering, and an ASQ certified Six Sigma Lean Black Belt.
