Doosan Infracore appoints new vice president/COO of Forklifts

Kim Parkinson assumes management responsibilities for Forklifts group, including sales, marketing, product support and parts sales for North American operations.

Doosan Infracore America Corporation has announced the recent reappointment of Mr. Kim Parkinson, director and COO of its Forklifts Group, to the newly created position of vice president and COO for its Forklifts operations. Effective immediately, Parkinson, who has served in the director capacity since July 1, 2009, will assume executive management responsibilities for the entire Forklifts group which includes sales, marketing, product support and parts sales. Parkinson will continue to maintain a presence at the Forklift facility in Warrensville Heights, OH as well as at Doosan Infracore’s headquarter facilities in Suwannee, Georgia.

“As we approach the fourth quarter of 2010 the economic recovery is slower than most had expected,” Parkinson said. “However, for Doosan Infracore America Forklifts and its strong and dedicated dealer network, our efforts this year have been very successful. We are above plan in almost all areas and foresee the year-end performance to meet all objectives. We are now a much stronger company and look forward to the challenges ahead. We have already made many changes within our organization and have other changes still in process. We expect that 2011 will be an even better year for all.”

Doosan Infracore, headquartered in South Korea, was ranked No. 12 on Modern’s annual Top 20 lift truck suppliers list, with $418 million in revenue in 2009.
