Equipment modernizations on display from Dematic Retrotech

In a press conference on Tuesday, Dematic Retrotech’s (Booth S1618) Paul Deveikis, managing director, shared details about the firm’s integration into Dematic North America’s customer service organization.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Dematic Retrotech’s (Booth S1618) Paul Deveikis, managing director, shared details about the firm’s integration into Dematic North America’s customer service organization. Additionally, the company highlighted its modernization solutions for any make and model of existing automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) equipment to increase flexibility, capacity and efficiency.

“Our upgrade process is designed to make system enhancements without disrupting ongoing operations to minimize downtime,” said Deveikis. He also demonstrated the ACTIV AS/RS that provides high-density, automated storage for operations with a high degree of order and load sequencing complexities.

Further, the company displayed its warehouse control system (WCS) and warehouse execution system (WES) software. Both systems are supported by a library of software modules that can be edited and built to accommodate any application and industry, he added.

These modules integrate with a company’s existing software system, requiring minimal adjustment to implement automation. The concept, Deveikis said, supports the rapid changes faced by the materials handling industry: “Our customers need to modernize, integrate and service their supply chain workflows; our solutions help them stay ahead of their competition and exceed their customers’ expectations.”
