At a press conference on Monday, Frazier (Booth 3531) demonstrated its semi-automated, high-density Pallet Mole System. The system runs underneath the pallet loads on rails, delivering and extracting pallets within a deep lane storage racking system. Having completed several successful installations of the Pallet Mole since first introducing it at ProMat in 2011, the company has continued to develop the product over the last four years.
According to Benjamin Miller, general manager for Pallet Mole automation, the system uses the latest technology in high-density storage to maximize available floor space, storing up to six high and 50 pallet positions deep, while measurably increasing warehouse productivity and SKU selectivity. It is also the only pallet shuttle device to earn the Underwriters Laboratory (UL) Certification for conforming to all North American Standards for electric, safety and design requirements.
