HighJump highlights “Automation Aware” WMS and business analytics capabilities

HighJump Visual Insights and the ongoing release of products and professional services for the HighJump Automated Aware WMS will begin in Q2 of 2018.

HighJump (Booth B3415), a provider of supply chain solutions including warehouse management system (WMS) software, showcased new capabilities for business analytics, and functionality in its WMS that makes the system more aware of and better able to plan and execute in concert with automated warehouse equipment.

The analytics tool is called HighJump Visual Insights, while the automation-focused WMS functionality is known as the HighJump Automation Aware WMS.

Moving beyond standard graphics and charts for actionable analytics, HighJump Visual Insights overlays information on visuals of distribution facilities. Staff can instantly see where, when and what to automate. The HighJump Automation Aware WMS powers the automation. This is done by combining the adaptability of HighJump’s WMS solutions with the capabilities of a warehouse control system (WCS).

Together, they offer a comprehensive solution that streamlines supply chain workflows and tightly coordinates the “people” management workflows that WMS has long been good at with machine management aspects that WCS is used for, said Sean Elliot, HighJump’s chief technology officer.

“HighJump provides a modern approach to automation and business intelligence,” said Elliott. “Designed from decades of experience with successful supply chain deployments, we offer the only solutions truly aligned with the supply chain of today and the future.”
