Intelligrated earns Robotics Integrator Certification

Robotic Industries Association recognizes materials handling group’s robotics expertise

Intelligrated, a leading North American-owned automated materials handling solutions provider, announces it has received certification as a robotics integrator from the Robotic Industries Association (RIA), the industry’s largest trade group representing more than 265 corporations.

Intelligrated received accreditation after successfully completing the RIA robotics integrator certification process. The process includes a comprehensive audit during which integrators must demonstrate the necessary level of technical knowledge required to execute robotic system projects in a safe, efficient and economical manner. The audit includes hands-on testing of key robotics personnel, as well as an on-site appraisal of robotic experience and business infrastructure.

“The RIA certification verifies our ability to integrate robotic systems successfully,” said Earl Wohlrab, palletizing and robotics systems product manager, Intelligrated. “Prior to RIA’s certification program, customers had a difficult time identifying integrators that meet both business and robotic expertise requirements. Now, this accreditation can be the standard by which end users evaluate their potential vendors to minimize risk and ensure successful implementations.”

Intelligrated is a single-source provider with over 20 years of robotics experience. The company is capable of integrating a wide variety of material handling components, including robotic arms from multiple manufacturers, as well as a variety of custom end-of-arm tooling. Intelligrated’s Alvey Robotics provide complete, integrated robotic material handling systems including system design, fabrication, installation, commissioning and after-sales customer support.

RIA certification identifies established integrators in the robotics industry. To earn RIA certification, candidates must establish safe work procedures, demonstrate their knowledge of current safety standards and implement the latest in safety into their designs, as well as have a dedicated service department which offers 24/7 customer service and a preventative maintenance service strategy. Candidates must also demonstrate that they have system simulation, vision, and project management capabilities as well as staff with extensive robotic knowledge and expertise to support robotic-based business needs.
