As they work to tackle their global supply chain challenges, manage business complexities and leverage new opportunities, international companies continually turn to industry events like Modex to help them achieve these goals, and more. This year, Modex will welcome 40,000+ attendees from over 100 different countries.
Daniel McKinnon, MHI’s EVP of exhibitions, says MHI is working with an outside agency and the U.S. Department of Commerce to qualify international attendees, organize groups and provide support throughout the process. “We’ll have delegations from several countries,” says McKinnon.
Key targets for those delegations include the Mercosur countries in South America; Mexico and Canada; and Western Europe. “We’re also interested in some of the Middle Eastern ports and distribution centers like Dubai, plus larger economies in Asia and Australia,” McKinnon says. MHI will offer exhibitors the chance to meet with these delegations and will also host an international dinner the night before the show opens.
McKinnon says Modex will also feature an extremely sophisticated international trade center that’s open only to the international attendees. The space is available for meetings and includes a WI-FI-equipped lounge. “International attendees can use the space to take a moment to organize themselves before going out onto the show floor,” says McKinnon.
