Mallory Alexander sets up shop in New York

Third-party logistics (3PL) services provider Mallory Alexander International Logistics announced today that through a partnership with London-based Charles Kendall Freight, a freight forwarder, it has opened up a new office in on Long Island in Inwood, New York.

Company officials said this new office—Mallory Alexander International Logistics NY—will provide various 3PL services, including freight forwarding, Customs brokerage, truck brokerage, special project transportation, and supply chain consulting services.

A Mallory Alexander spokesperson told LM that Mallory Alexander and Charles Kendall Freight have been exploring the opportunities for a joint New York office since April 2010.

And Neely Mallory III, president of Mallory Alexander, said in a statement that shipper customers in Long Island and the metropolitan New York area were asking Mallory to open an office their to meet their needs.
“Staking this foothold in the Northeast enables us to not only meet those needs, but also opens the door for new opportunities,” said Alexander. “The office location in Inwood, NY offers a close proximity to the major Northeast airports as well as the Port of New York and New Jersey.”
This new office, which will be comprised of 25 employees, will mainly provide shippers with airfreight, ocean imports and exports, and warehousing and distribution services.  The Mallory Alexander spokesperson said that Mallory Alexander and Charles Kendall represent common customers’ service issues in their respective countries as it relates to facilitating logistics.
