During a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, John Woodward, VP, global commerce at Metro Atlanta Chamber, discussed the Atlanta metropolitan area’s wide range of international trade aspects.
In particular, he focused on the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which has been the world’s busiest airport since 1998. Serving 150 U.S.-based destinations, the airport also serves more than 75 international destinations and 50 countries.
In addition, Woodward discussed Metro Atlanta’s assortment of trade capacities, as it’s currently the host to 78 global consulates and trade offices. As a result, it’s become one of the United States’ most internationally represented cities, in regards to trade and logistics.
“For companies interested in growing internationally, Metro Atlanta provides them a variety of resources,” Woodward said. “It truly is a cross-section of the world.”
