Modex just keeps getting bigger and bigger every year and 2024 is no exception. This year’s show will feature over 1,100 exhibits that cover more than 570,000 net square feet at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) in Atlanta from March 11-14, 2024.
For the first time ever, Modex's reach will extend into the facility’s A, B and C halls. “We have every square foot of the Georgia World Congress Center and the adjoining campus, which includes the new Signia Hotel by Hilton and the Omni Hotel,” says Daniel McKinnon, MHI’s EVP of exhibitions. “The show’s footprint is significantly larger and, based on some of our own upgrades and the facility upgrades, we anticipate an even more dynamic and engaging show.”
Modex will be sold out wall-to-wall across all three halls, making the show larger than ProMat 2023’s record size. “This is new and exciting not only for MHI, but also for the industry and the community as well,” says McKinnon.
At press time, Modex registrations were tracking above 2022 event levels, when registrations exceeded 37,000. A record number of Premier Club members signed up early for Modex, with that group comprising director-level and above in Fortune 500, top 100 retailers and top 100 consumer goods firms.
With 165 show floor educational seminars covering leading trends, best practices and state-of-the-art equipment and technology solutions, Modex is all about making manufacturing and the entire supply chain work more efficiently and profitably. MHI’s goal is to bring the industry together to collaborate and develop into a community that shares knowledge and addresses current and future manufacturing and supply chain issues.
For attendees, one of the biggest values is being able to see the latest equipment, technology and solutions in-person. The show’s theme for 2024 is “The Full Spectrum Supply Chain,” and attendees will experience firsthand everything from base technology products that are used in all warehouse and distribution centers up through advanced automated systems, software platforms and robotics.
“They’ll see the complete range of products,” says MHI CEO John Paxton, who adds that the exhibition floor has evolved into a complete, experiential process. “People want to come to experience the new products, the supply chain innovations and connect with people in person.”
Some of the special experiential areas to explore while at Modex include brand-new theaters focused on important topics like sustainability and last-mile logistics and listen to an inspirational presentation from Nick Saban. Then have some fun on the Front Porch with golf simulators, a mini golf challenge and a beer garden; and have some laughs with Colin Jost at Industry Night.
“There’s no substitute for events like Modex where you can see the solutions in-action, learn about them in educational sessions and speak to the leading firms who are the innovators, all at one location. You will find answers to your specific operational challenges,” says Paxton. “We’re very excited to provide this market access and knowledge opportunity for our entire supply chain community.”
