NexSys provides a flexible, low-maintenance battery solution from Enersys

Using Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology from EnerSys (Booth S603), NexSys batteries use an ultra-thin positive plate design that allows more plates to fit into the cell.

Using Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology from EnerSys (Booth S603), NexSys batteries use an ultra-thin positive plate design that allows more plates to fit into the cell. More plates mean NexSys batteries can provide more power in 30% less space than conventional lead acid batteries.

TPPL technology also incorporates the highest purity lead in the positive and negative plates, and a very high purity sulfuric acid. This combination of materials minimizes the risk of corrosion and sulfation common to conventional lead acid batteries.

“The modular construction of the chargers adapts to a wide range of battery capacities,” said Tim Wittig, national sales manager-NexSys, “thus allowing a potential reduction of the number of chargers in a fleet.”

Classified as non-spillable electric storage batteries, NexSys batteries—which Enersys is demonstrating in its booth—also feature superior quality Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) separators that provide high electrolyte absorption and stability to help enhance cyclic capability.
