PACK EXPO International ranks 3rd in nation

With more than 1.1 million net square feet, Pack Expo International 2012 lands near the top of Trade Show Executive Gold 100 list.

PMMI, owner and producer of the Pack expo trade shows, has announced Pack Expo International was ranked third on the Trade Show Executive (TSE) magazine Gold 100 list of 2012 events.

PACK EXPO shows have consistently ranked at the top of the TSE Gold 100 since the inception of the list in 2008.

“It’s an honor to be on the list,” said Charles D. Yuska, president & CEO, PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies. “The events on the TSE Gold 100 list are the premier events in their sectors, and the ones industry leaders choose for their most important and innovative product launches.”

The four-day event in Nov. 2012 registered more than 1.12 million net square feet of exhibit space, 1,965 exhibiting companies and 45,300 attendees. Attendance alone was 3% greater than the show’s previous edition in 2010. Yuska added the Gold 100 listing reflects more than floor space sold.

“Our consistent ranking indicates how well we’re serving our exhibitors, attendees and industry,” he said. “Our exhibitors keep coming back and asking for more booth space.”

The next edition is just a year away: Pack Expo International 2014, with the co-located Pharma Expo 2014, a new venture produced in partnership with the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), at Chicago’s McCormick Place Nov. 2–5, 2014.
