In a press conference on Tuesday, Plug Power (Booth 1023) debuted both a new logo and a new GenDrive 3340 fuel cell to power Class III forklifts, including electric hand pallet jacks and walkie/rider jacks.
“Plug Power was founded by scientists and engineers 20 years ago, and the old logo doesn’t reflect what the company has become,” said Andy Marsh, CEO. “This change to our brand better represents our team of trailblazing innovators who created—and continue to expand upon—the fuel cell industry in materials handling.”
Marsh further noted that, with 10,000 units in the field, 95% of the fuel cells used worldwide are Plug Power’s. To support those fuel cells, the company will have constructed and deployed more than 50 hydrogen fueling stations by the end of 2016.
