Raymond donates ProMat booth groceries to Chicago-area nonprofit

Pallets of nonperishable food and paper supplies worth $26,000 were donated to the Addison Community Switchboard.

Following its involvement in ProMat 2013, The Raymond Corporation donated $26,000 worth of nonperishable food items and paper supplies to the Addison Community Switchboard in Addison, Ill. This nonprofit organization helps provide for underserved families and senior citizens within the Addison community through its food pantry, clothes closet and emergency assistance efforts. The donated items were part of Raymond’s booth display, which included a mock warehouse stocked with pallets of product.

“Words cannot express my gratitude toward Raymond for this incredibly generous donation,” says Jim Lombardo, director for the Addison Community Switchboard. “The items that were donated will help so many people in this community. I can’t begin to explain how much this means to our organization and the people who will benefit from this donation.”

The Addison Community Switchboard is a community effort. Through the cooperation of local schools, churches, businesses, civic organizations, the Village of Addison and hundreds of individual citizens within the community, the Switchboard is able to make a difference for Addison families and seniors in need of assistance.
