Sealed Air selects site in Charlotte for new global headquarters

Expected to be completed by the end of 2016, the project will relocate approximately 1,300 jobs for its divisions, research and development facilities and corporate offices.


Sealed Air Corporation, a leader in protective packaging, has announced that it will construct a new, state-of-the art corporate headquarters at LakePointe Corporate Center in Charlotte, N.C.’s Mecklenburg County.

The Company also announced it has selected Childress Klein, a full service real estate company operating in the southeastern United States, as its development partner, and HOK, a global design and architecture firm, as its design and engineering partner. Additionally, the company announced it has hired Stantec as its project management partner to ensure completion of strategic milestones.

“We are confident that the site Sealed Air has selected for its new global headquarters will allow us to fully execute our vision of constructing a unique, technologically advanced facility that flows in harmony with its natural surroundings” says Jerome A. Peribere, Sealed Air, president & CEO.

Sealed Air announced in July 2014 that it will relocate approximately 1,300 jobs to a new campus in Charlotte that will become headquarters for its divisions, research and development facilities and corporate offices. The company is currently leasing temporary office space in Charlotte and anticipates its new campus to be completed by the end of 2016.
