Semi-automated, deep-lane racking pallet storage, extraction system

In a press conference on Tuesday, Frazier Industrial (Booth 4205) showcased enhancements to its semi-automated, high-density Pallet Mole system.

The unit runs on rails underneath pallet loads to deliver and extract pallets within a deep-lane storage racking system. AC-driven, it works in both FIFO and LIFO applications, improving throughput by indexing loads directly to the first position at the aisle face.

Using a RF controller, the operator instructs the electro-mechanical platform to lift, lower or shuttle pallets to the desired position. It can work in storage rack up to 6 high and 50 pallet positions deep, and is UL-certified.

“We’re extremely pleased by the tremendous response to the Pallet Mole, having completed system installations across beverage, food processing, foodservice and cold storage applications,” said Frazier Industrial president Carlos Oliver. “The system’s simple yet robust mechanical shuttle is efficient and reliable, and tested at the highest performance travel speed in the industry.”

The company featured a recent Pallet Mole installation at Premium Waters in Kansas City, Mo. Also discussed were new technology developments in the company’s Highrise AS/RS product line.
