Ergonomics: TMI acquires Simplex Isolation Systems

Acquisition to enable bi-coastal platform for customer service.

TMI International, LLC, a Pittsburgh, Pa.-based, leading international supplier of workplace environmental management systems and other PVC-based products, announced today that they have acquired the assets of Simplex Isolation Systems.

Since 1979, Simplex, headquartered in Fontana, Calif., has been a manufacturer of PVC strip doors, industrial curtains and custom cleanroom environmental control and data center energy management systems and accessories.

“We are pleased to welcome the Simplex group into the TMI family,” said Frank Mummolo, TMI’s president and CEO. “The combined organizations ideally fit within our long-term strategy of extending our sales and manufacturing reach to a bicoastal platform to better service our customers. Additionally, we expect the considerable synergies between our respective product lines and end markets to fuel significant growth for the entire enterprise. Simplex’s strong, incumbent management team and their excellent reputation for innovative, cost-effective product solutions and superior service dovetail perfectly with the TMI corporate culture.”
