Welcome to Modex 2022 from show sponsor MHI

As Chairman of MHI and on behalf of our Board officers and our members, it is my privilege to welcome you back in person to Modex 2022.

As Chairman of MHI and on behalf of our Board officers and our members, it is my privilege to welcome you back in person to Modex 2022.

Modex will be four days of non-stop solutions for your manufacturing and supply chain operations. Exhibits and educational offerings will be on one continuous BC Hall at the Georgia World Congress Center. Your badge will provide you entrance to the exhibits, as well as all keynotes and show floor seminars.

To make it easier for you to find the solutions you need, Modex’s 850 exhibits are organized into convenient solution-specific centers: manufacturing and assembly; information technology (IT); fulfillment and delivery; transportation and logistics; and emerging technologies.

The conference includes theater centers featuring 170 show floor educational seminars. The theaters for Emerging Technologies, Micro-Channel Fulfillment, Transportation & Logistics will include open air, town hall style theater presentations while the Knowledge Center theaters will have more traditional theater seating. Please consult your Expo Guide for titles, locations, and times of these educational sessions. You can also download the official app at modexshow.com/app.

Modex will also feature four keynotes today, tomorrow and Wednesday that will explore many solutions to the issues and trends impacting supply chains. Today, Erika Alexander, chief global operations officer for Marriott International will be the focus of a keynote conversation on Women in Leadership at 8:45 a.m. in the Thomas Murphy Ballroom.

In addition, we will announce the 2022 MHI Innovation Award winners during Wednesday’s MHI Industry Night and have some laughs with comedian Preacher Lawson. This award showcases new products and innovations presented by exhibitors. The winners will be chosen in three categories: Best New Innovation, Best IT Innovation and Best Innovation of an Existing Product. If you would like to attend Industry Night, tickets are $50 and can be purchased at Registration on Level 4. A portion of the evenings proceeds will be donated to local charities and the Material Handling Education Foundation (MHEFI) whose mission is to provide financial support for educational programs to engage and retain talent for the material handling, logistics and supply chain industry.

Modex offers many opportunities to connect with your peers in the Modex Backyard. The Backyard offers opportunities to meet and network with other attendees as well as WI-FI and email kiosks. Don’t miss the variety of Atlanta-based food trucks and entertainment options! There is also an MHI Young Professionals Meet and Greet from 5:00–6:30 p.m. If you are a young professional in the industry, I strongly recommend you attend this great networking event.

Today’s events will also include a Women in Supply Chain Forum that will feature a presentation on the five behaviors of a cohesive team.

MHI, Material Handling Industry, is proud to host you at Modex and again at ProMat 2023 (March 20-23, 2023, at Chicago’s McCormick Place). MHI represents the industry that provides the essential solutions that make supply chains work. For more information on MHI programs including the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC), visit the MHI booth located in Booth C3598 on the show floor or visit mhi.org.

Enjoy Modex 2022!
