Westfalia Technologies hires Robert Douglas as service manager

Douglas brings more than 30 years of management and customer service experience.

Westfalia Technologies, a leading provider of logistics solutions for plants, warehouses and distribution centers since 1992, announced today the appointment of Robert (Bob) Douglas as service manager.

From the firm’s York, Pa., headquarters, Bob will ensure customers’ automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) solutions operate at optimal efficiency and Westfalia’s service and parts department has the bandwidth to support its growing customer base.

Bob brings more than 30 years of management and customer service experience to the position. At Quad/Graphics, he was a member of a team that oversaw the acquisition and operation of multiple Westfalia AS/RS solutions used to optimize the sequencing and sorting of materials required in the print production process.

Douglas said, “I respect Dan Labell and the Westfalia management team and truly admire the way they do business. I will concentrate my initial efforts on holding face-to-face client meetings to understand service and parts needs; explore what, if any, gaps exist in the vendor-client relationship; and ascertain what can be done to eliminate any perceived gaps.”

Dan Labell, owner and president of Westfalia Technologies, said, “The addition of Bob Douglas to the management team marks a significant milestone in Westfalia’s history. I am confident that Bob’s managerial expertise and professional demeanor will be an asset to the firm and contribute to our continued success.”
