Yale helps dealer network hire veterans

Company partners with Snelling Search to hire 29 veterans and fill positions at various levels.

This Veterans Day, Yale Materials Handling Corporation continues looking to veterans of the U.S. armed forces for its dealers to grow their sales force. The company and its dealer network have been working with Snelling Search’s Military Division since November 2011, and to date, Yale dealers have hired 29 veterans through the program.

“The men and women who have served in our military possess qualities that align with what we look for at Yale,” said Bill Pfleger, president of Yale Distribution. “We are eager to have veterans who have served our country now work with us to serve our customers and provide the very best in materials handling equipment and service within our dealer network. As Yale continues to grow, we are looking for skilled veterans to join our dealers’ teams and help Yale lead the materials handling industry.”

Snelling Search was selected because of the military recruiting team’s ability to match skill sets to company culture for a long-term fit. Multiple rounds of candidates and hiring have resulted in dozens of filled positions at several levels throughout the Yale dealer network. Many of the newly hired veterans have also attended the Yale Sales Academy training program. “Working with Snelling Search resulted in NITCO hiring multiple highly skilled sales professionals,” said Alan Hammersley, COO for Northland Industrial Trucks Company, Inc. (NITCO), a local Yale dealer. “Our expectations were clearly exceeded, and we are now on our second hiring round.”

“MH appreciates the opportunity we’ve had to work with Snelling Search to recruit sales personnel for our team,” said Fred Metzger, president of MH Equipment Company – Ohio North. “The Snelling team has gained an insightful understanding of MH’s culture and vision for qualified employment candidates, and provided a pre-screened pool of prospects from which we have made multiple hires.”
