Columbia/Okura Announces Strategic Alliance with Fischbein

Partnership combines robotic bag palletizing expertise with bag weighing, handling and closing equipment.

Columbia/Okura LLC, a leading provider of robotic palletizing solutions in North America, has announced the formation of a strategic alliance with Fischbein Americas, a world leader in bag closing technology and packaging solutions.

This alliance combines Columbia/Okura’s robotic bag palletizing expertise with Fischbein’s 100 years of experience designing and manufacturing bag weighing, handling and closing equipment to provide completely integrated line solutions.

“Columbia/Okura and Fischbein have worked together for well over a decade,” said Brian Hutton, president, Columbia/Okura LLC. “The formalization of our strong working relationship into a strategic alliance was the next logical step in our evolution. This strategic collaboration allows both companies to provide our mutual customers with premium quality, best of breed equipment, providing truly optimized, integrated line performance with Intelligent Self-Pacing software communications.”

The Intelligent Self-Pacing software solution is a synchronized system that automatically paces the speed of the bagger based on the status of the palletizer. This proprietary software and communication system optimizes the throughput of the complete bagging system and is programmed to communicate exclusively between Columbia/Okura and Fischbein equipment.
