Cimcorp and Murata Machinery USA reorganize to enhance competitiveness in North America

Cimcorp North America and Murata Machinery USA, which are both part of Murata Machinery Ltd., have entered a strategic alliance, integrating their expertise and capabilities in North America.

Cimcorp North America and Murata Machinery USA, Inc. (Muratec), which are both part of Murata Machinery Ltd., have announced they have forged a close alliance, integrating their expertise and capabilities in North America.

The companies explained that as pioneers in logistic automation and integration, this strategic alliance between Muratec and Cimcorp North America strengthens their market presence and operational effectiveness. By integrating their technical operations and resources across locations in Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, and Grimsby, Canada, the partnership will enhance their competitive edge and deliver value to stakeholders and customers, the companies added.

As subsidiaries of Murata Machinery, Ltd., Cimcorp Group operates in seven strategic locations worldwide, with its headquarters in Finland. Leveraging a manufacturing legacy of over 50 years, Muratec has successfully built a global presence with thousands of installations and first-to-market innovations, the company noted. As a result, the companies added, this strategic alliance is poised to significantly expand the reach and impact of both companies.

"This integration will harness the collective strengths of Cimcorp and Murata Machinery, empowering us to unlock new opportunities and propel our growth in the North American market. By joining forces, we position ourselves for a prosperous future,” said Tero Peltomäki, CEO of Cimcorp Group.

From their Charlotte headquarters, L&A General Manager Masatoshi Wakabayashi will direct day-to-day North American operations, aligning the teams' strengths, technologies, and collective knowledge while streamlining operations. Customers throughout North America can now leverage a comprehensive range of customizable automated solutions backed by a vast network of localized services and support for the lifespan of their systems, the company added.

“To optimize efficiencies, consolidate our efforts, and foster a cohesive and collaborative environment, combining the best of both teams is essential for our success,” said Masatoshi Wakabayashi. “This formal enhancement of our existing partnership with Cimcorp further builds on Murata Machinery’s long track record of integrating automation and solving customer challenges.”

This partnership is already underway, with operational integration targeted for completion in Q4 2023. During this process, business contacts and roles will remain unchanged, ensuring continuity and the high-quality service our customers expect, the partners added.
